These Terms of Service are a legally binding contract between you and Press Digest plc. (referred to as “us”, “our”, “we”), and govern your access to and use of the Ethiopian Press Digest website (the “Site”), and any related products and services (collectively, the “Services”), including, without limitation, any materials, data, information, features, articles, videos and images uploaded, generated, or otherwise made available on or through the Services (collectively, the “Content”).
Any mention of “you” or “your” are in reference to the person accessing, using, and participating in the Services in any way.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY. Your use of the Services indicates that you acknowledge, have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions, inclusive of the Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Terms”). If you are not eligible, or do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
By accessing or using the Services you agree not to:
Post, upload, or distribute any Content that is unlawful, defamatory, libelous, inaccurate, or that a reasonable person could deem to be objectionable, profane, indecent, pornographic, harassing, threatening, embarassing, or hateful
Inappropriately use the Services for any illegal purpose, or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
Reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Services or any part thereof except to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law
Interfere with security-related features of the Services, including without limitation by (1) breaching, disabling, or circumventing security and authentication measures that prevent or limit use or copying of any Content, (ii) accessing, tampering with, or using non-public areas of the Services or Snapwise Inc.’s computer systems or networks, (iii) probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of any system or network, or (iv)
Performing any fraudulent activity including (i) impersonating any person or entity, (ii) forging any headers or any header information, (iii) claiming false affiliations, (iv) accessing the Services accounts of others without permission, or (v) sending any deceptive or fraudulent information
Interfere with, or disrupt, the operation of the Services or the enjoyment of any user by, without limitation, (i) uploading or otherwise disseminating a virus, adware, spyware, worms, or other malicious code, (ii) sending excessive or unsolicited messages, email, or other communications to, on, or through the Services, (iii) interfering with or creating an undue burden on the Services or designing any Content to do the same, (iv) making unsolicited offers or advertisements to other users of the Services, (v) collecting personal information about users or third parties without their consent, (vi) interfering with or disrupting any networks, equipment, or servers
Violate, or encourage others to violate, the rights of third parties, including by infringing or misappropriating third party intellectual property rights
Alter or remove any trademark, copyright, or proprietary notice contained on the Services
Access the Services in any automated way, including using any robot, scraper, web crawler or related method of access outside of manually accessing portions of the Services that are publicly available, to scrape, monitor, frame, link, or copy any information or Content on the Services
Attempt to do any of the foregoing in this Section, or assist or permit any persons in engaging in any of the activities described in this Section.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use or participate in the Services and legally agree to and comply with these Terms. If you have been previously barred from using or participating in the Services due to your violation of these Terms, you are prohibited from accessing or using the Services without the written permission from Press Digest plc. This includes re-registering for a new Account (“Account”)
When registering an Account to access the Services, you must provide complete and accurate registration information, such as your email address. If you choose to access the Services through a valid third-party service (like Twitter, Google, Facebook, or Apple ID), you give us permission to use and access the relevant information from that third-party account.
Upon creating an Account, you must:
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your Account; and
Not use another person’s Account without permission
Any communications received from your account may be assumed to have been made by you. Any data will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Once you purchase a Subscription, your Subscription will be active for the time period you selected at purchase. Your Subscription will automatically renew for the time periods you originally subscribed for, at the rate at which the subscription was originally purchased, unless you decide not to renew. You can cancel your Subscription or opt out of renewal at any time by contacting us at support@etpressdigest.com with the subject “Cancel subscription”. If you cancel your subscription before its renewal date, refunds cannot be provided for any unused portion of the term; but you will continue to have access to the features provided in your subscription package until the subscription period officially ends. In no event will Ethiopian Press Digest plc. be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages (including, for example, for any loss of profits or revenues, data use, good-will, or other intangible losses), whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) statute, or other legal theory (whether or not Ethiopian Press Digest plc. has been informed of the possibility of such damages), arising out of or relating to (i) your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Services or any Content on the Services; (ii) any Content posted by a third party or otherwise available on the Services; (iii) conduct of third party users of the Services; and (iv) the privacy practices or actions of any third-party service or site enabled within the Service. Ethiopian Press Digest plc. does not warrant that the Content is free of errors.
(i) You agree that the aggregate liability of Ethiopian Press Digest plc. to you for any and all claims arising out of (i) through (iv) in the preceding paragraph or otherwise under these terms, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, will not exceed the greater of (i) the amounts that you have paid to Ethiopian Press Digest plc. for access to any use of the Services in the 12 months prior to the claim or
(ii) Forty seven U.S. dollars.
(ii) The above limitation applies even if a remedy set forth in these terms has failed of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages. Accordingly, the above limitation may not apply to you.
(iii) Each provision of these terms that provides for a limitation of liability, disclaimer of warranties, or exclusion of damages is to allocate the risks under these Terms between the parties. This allocation is an essential element of the basis of the bargain between the parties. Each of these provisions is severable and independent of all other provisions of these terms.
Miscellaneous
You are responsible for any data charges incurred by using the services. We reserve the right to refuse access to the services at any point in time to any one Ethiopian Press Digest plc. owns the visual data which includes the photos and videos taken by the users.
You may choose to provide, or we may solicit, feedback, suggestions, and bug reports, modifications, or any such improvements or ideas about the Services and any related products, including without limitation about your use of the Service and how to improve the Services or our other products (“Feedback”). If you provide any Feedback, you hereby grant to Ethiopian Press Digest plc. a worldwide, royalty free, irrevocable, nonexclusive, fully-paid perpetual license to use, incorporate, or otherwise exploit any Feedback in any manner that we see fit.
The Services may include (i) Content provided by third parties (“Third-Party Content”); and (ii) links to third-party websites or resources. Accessing third-party resources can be done at your own risk. You must evaluate and bear all risks associated with your use of Third-Party Content or your reliance on the completeness, usefulness, and accuracy of such Third-Party Content. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Ethiopian Press Digest plc. does not ratify, verify, or endorse (i) any content or other materials on or available from such sites or resources, (ii) any errors or omissions in these websites or resources, or (iii) any information handling practices or other business practices of the operators of such sites or resources. Ethiopian Press Digest plc. is not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources and shall not be held liable or responsible, directly or indirectly, for (i) any Third-Party Content, or (ii) any loss or damage caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the reliance on or use of linked resources or sites.
If you believe that any of the third-party services, websites, or resources violates applicable law or may be inappropriate, please notify us at support@etpressdigest.com. The linked content may be reviewed and potentially removed from the Services at our sole discretion. The inclusion of any such third-party link is not representative of any endorsement or partnership between Ethiopian Press digest plc. and the third-party.
These Terms may be modified on occasion. Once updated, the modified Terms will be effective immediately unless otherwise stated by a communication from the Services or as required by applicable law. Your continued use of the Services following updates to the Terms constitutes your binding acceptance to the relevant changes. In the case of denial to agree to or comply with changes stipulated in the updated Terms, your use of the Services must conclude. Please periodically review this page for recent changes. Updates will be posted on the Services. Unless and until these Terms are terminated by you or us, they will remain in effect.
We reserve the right to refuse access to the Services at any point in time to anyone. Ethiopian Press Digest plc. reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Services at any time, with or without notice, temporarily or permanently. In such an event, Ethiopian Press Digest plc. shall not be liable for any suspension, modification, or discontinuation of the Services to you nor any third party.
You are responsible for any data charges incurred by using the Services.

By agreeing to these Terms, you agree to abide by any copyright laws, as well as copyright notices or restrictions contained in the Service or in any Content access through the Services, and any other applicable laws. Any unauthorized commercial use of the Content or Trademarks will violate the intellectual property rights of Ethiopian Press Digest plc. and/or third parties associated with the Services and will be subject to Ethiopian Press Digest plc.’s and/or those third parties’ full legal rights and remedies.
The Services and all Content within our Services which are provided by Ethiopian Press Digest plc., our partners, or our users are protected by Ethiopian copyright laws, trademarks, international treaty provisions, service marks and other intellectual property laws. The Services are also protected as a collective work or compilation under Ethiopia copyright and other law and treaties. The trademarks, logos, trade names, trade dress, and service marks, whether registered or unregistered (collectively the “Trademarks”) displayed on the Services are Trademarks of Ethiopian Press Digest plc.
Nothing contained on the Services shall be construed as granting by implication or otherwise, any license or right to use any Protected Content or Trademarks displayed on the Services without the written permission of Ethiopian Press Digest plc. or such third party that may own the Protected Content or Trademarks. You agree to abide by all applicable copyright and other laws, as well as any additional copyright notices or restrictions contained in the Services or in any Content accessed through the Services (“Protected Content”).
All present and future rights in and to trade secrets, copyrights, patents, trademarks, service marks, know-how, and other proprietary rights of any type under the laws of any governmental authority, domestic or foreign, including without limitation rights in and to all applications and registrations, in each case relating to the Services shall, as between you and Ethiopian Press Digest plc., at all times be and remain the sole and exclusive property of Ethiopian Press Digest plc.
Users of the Services are asked to respect the intellectual property rights of others. You agree to notify Ethiopian Press Digest plc. immediately upon becoming aware of any claim that the Services or Content infringe upon any copyright, trademark, or other contractual, statutory, or common law rights.
